Wat Thep Phithak Punnaram or Wat Phra Khao is located at Khao Siat Ah, Ban Klang Dong, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima. It is on the right from Bangkok to Korat on Mittaphap Road kilometer no.150. At this temple, there is a white big Buddha image in attitude of blessing named “Buddha Sakolsima Mongkhon”, people call this image as Luang Pho Khao, with 27.25 meters lap wide and 45 meters high. This Buddha image is made of reinforced concrete, standing out on the top of a mountain of 112 meters above the ground level. Also, there are 1,260 steps of stairs that refer to the number of Buddhist saints who gathered without an appointment on Makha Bucha Day.
